In college halls where fates align,
I chanced upon a love divine.
His name, a melody, stirred my soul,
With every glance, my heart took hold.
Beside me, joy in every stride,
His presence, a comforting guide.
But as I fought the trembling fears,
A bond grew stronger through the years.
His songs, a symphony of love,
Kindled flames I couldn't shove.
His laughter, like a soothing balm,
Drew me closer, sweet and calm.
Yet, possessiveness would arise,
As other girls caught his eyes.
Within me, love began to bloom,
A secret whispered in the gloom.
How to tell him? I dare not try,
For fear of rejection's bitter cry.
So, I loved him from afar,
A silent witness to a distant star.
Then, fate dealt its cruel hand one day,
As he knelt to someone's sway.
With tear-stained eyes, I turned away,
Knowing my love would never sway.
Thus, I learned love's bitter plight,
Yearning for what fades from sight.
Yet in the ache, a beauty lies,
For love's true essence never dies.
